I've been Playing Golf for: 1 year 1 month

My current handicap index or average score is: 28 handicap, scoring between 103-115

My typical ball flight is: sporadic

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: low pull hook

Apologies for the dark shot, was on my own at the range.  Going to try and get some better videos tomorrow evening when I go with a mate.

A face on view will help.

A pull hook can be caused by an over-the-top swing path. To reduce that, getting your weight moving forward in the downswing and at impact will help move your path to go more in-to-out.

Check out this thread and specifically the weight forward drills. A face on video will show if your weight transfer is going forward. It's hard to tell from the video you posted, but it looks like you are not moving forward enough to me.

Thanks for the reply boogielicious, I know from previous video analysis my weight shift needed work with most being on the back foot after impact.

Going to get my friend to record some more videos on Friday evening with a few side on ones.

    • Its not. They are just giving an example in a situation say if cant reach it. Example, You have 230 to the center of the green, you cant hit a club you have that far, so you whip out a 3/5 wood or whatever, but you have to hit it soft because there is trouble in front of the green, a bunker or water. A full swing would land you in the trouble. You want to lay up as close to the green as you can. So you aren't hitting a full shot with that club so for distance tracking you can make that shot a provisional and it wont affect the distance stats.
