Men's PGA balata ball only tournament. I WOULD SO WATCH THIS!

So many silly season events during the "offseason". If there were an event where you had a decent pool of players playing balata balls, I would watch this, unlike The Skins, Grand Slam, Wendy's Zzzzzzzzzz.

Yeah but how many of the fans are going to be able to tell anything different is going on? To most that tune in it would appear to be a regular tournament. Plus we would have to suffer through all the commentators talking about how much harder they hard it back in the day.

I agree, most non-golfers don't have any idea what a ball is made of, so this would go over the heads of the majority of the broadcast audience.  The net result would be those that don't watch that often would see the shorter distances they hit with balata and think there just as long as the pro's (which many on the internet already do).

Maybe alternate ball. Twosomes go out. One guy plays balata, another a modern ball, switch next hole and so on. See the difference in distance and curvature. Protracer a must.
