Haven't heard back from the fitter at the course yet but I should be going in for a fitting this Thursday. I'm pretty excited as the only fitting I have ever had was at dicks and the guy pretty much told me that he doesn't do driver fittings because they are pointless and that why would I need a driver fitting when pros play an off the rack driver without being fitted.

Anyways, curious as to what is all going to go into it? I'm getting fit for irons (ap1 or ap2), wedges, hybrid, driver.

I'm not to saavy with shafts out in the market as I've always played the stock shaft on whatever club I'm playing.

Now will the fitter actually swap out different shafts on the clubs? Bend the clubs up or down? Play with weights on the driver? Not actually sure what goes into it but I'm curious to know what it will all involve.

I got fit for a Titleist driver a few months back.  We tried different shafts, shaft lengths, and heads on a launch monitor at the Roger Dunn (by a Titleist rep, not just someone at the store).  I think we did some swing weight experimentation too.  I'm very happy with the result and will be going to the same guy for hybrid fitting in the next few months.

The blunt answer is to talk to him and ask straight up what kind of fitting tech and options he has, and what goes into a fitting. If you want to do it in a more roundabout way, go into the Titleist site and either find him directly or type in your zip code and find him there. They list what equipment each fitter has in broad terms: the Surefit bag, Surefit cart, fitting center, etc., and explains what each of those is.
