With my irons, I often hit the ground an inch or so before striking through the ball. I discovered this video lesson that discusses a forward aiming point for the hands. It looks like a helpful clip that I'll soon try and I just wanted to share it with the members on this forum who also struggle with hitting fat.

Another good drill is putting a tee in the ground right in front of the ball, and try to have the club swing down through the ball and into the tee.
