When I am over the ball, I only think about positive thoughts and to take a nice smooth take away and focus on my back swing and trying to keep a nice tempo in my swing.

I find myself making swing adjustment during the round and find that most times I am playing better on the back niine.

I've learned from my lessons that the most important key for a successful golf swing is a clear head, no thoughts, just action. That being said, I have a lot of difficulty not thinking of at least one thing as I address the ball before taking a shot. I sometimes (not often enough) force myself to go into my backswing with little or no pause after aligning my clubface, thus not giving my mind a chance to "start the gears turning" before executing the swing. Surprisingly (or maybe not surprisingly) this works quite well.

My last though when I address my ball is nice tempo.
My last though when I address my putt is distance control or how far will I take my back swing on my putter.
