Im obvioulsy not the best golfer but sometimes when i'm at the range, i just vary where i put the ball in my stance. At times it will go higher when its closer to my front foot and likewise for the back. Im not sure really but perhaps you could try that.
I also recently attempted putting the ball closer to the shaft side of the face and that seemed to get me more height..

Just a few things i have been messing around with...

I find that i hit the ball higher if i tilt my spine slightly to the right and stay behind the ball at address (as a right hander). Likewise, if I tilt the opposite way i hit more down on the ball and get a lower trajectory... this might work for me but it's always different with everyone else so give it shot to see if it helps. It's always best to try many different things to see what works for you. Hope that helps!

First check ball position, second make sure you aren't sliding instead of turning which delofts the club, and finally make sure that arms are relaxed so that your back arm is fully extended by the time the clubface is 6-8 inches beyond the ball.

Come down on the ball with a steeper attack angle, perhaps by moving the ball slightly more towards your back foot in the stance.

Actually this will produce a much lower ball flight, you want to hit it with more of a sweep, with the club head slightly on the way up.

No, this is a cardinal sin. Do not hit up on the ball,

ever . Except in special circumstances, such as a driver on a tee.

If your hitting the ball well dont worry about it. if not go to a pro and get proper advice to match your swing. if you change something in your swing you mightaffect your accuracy or consistency. If your hitting fairways and hitting greens just relax go play golf

Are you hitting the center of your club? Try putting tape on your club face and hit a ball. Maybe you are hitting the ball thin. The tape will tell you where you are making contact. If you hit the ball in the center of your club the ball should have a nice trajectory with height.

Does your pitching wedge fly low?

If you are hitting thin you need to check you swing.

It could be any number of things. What shafts and flex do you play? Are your shafts too stiff? If not, then what do your divots look like? Do you take a divot?

Are you swinging on too flat a plane? A flat plane makes the ball fly lower too. As you can see there are a number of variables. To make the ball go up, you need to hit down!

    • Day 37: did my drill swings in the garage with foam balls for about 15 minutes. Working on getting my backswing more turned and then going from there.
    • Thanks but honestly… I don't know any other way. I don't mind being wrong so long as I know where to go from there. I don't like being wrong — I'd love to get things right (which is different than "being right"). I recommend grabbing a furniture slider or a paper plate or something, and doing something like this: First, make a swing where you let your trail foot swing out as you turn, then twist that foot back in. From DL and FO, it'll look like this: Then, during a regular backswing, try to twist your foot in slightly (demonstrated in the left image): You'll notice a crease along the trail side of your hip, your pelvis will "fold" into that thigh (internal rotation of the hip joint), and your "bits" will be squished a little between your pelvis and your thigh. Ben Hogan said once: "At the top of the back swing the groin muscle on the inside of your rt [sic] leg near your right nut will tighten," Hogan wrote. "This subtle feeling of tightness there tells you that you have made the correct move back from the ball." I don't know about that, but you will probably feel something down around that area.
    • Yep. I think it will start to feel even more athletic when we start on the downswing stuff later.  I know, it's just I want to be younger so I have more time to enjoy the changes. 🙂
    • I need to drop a couple of stone. 🙂 😛    Yep. Yeah, but in the end, it feels more athletic, like you're actually using your legs, yeah? As you know… we use the best available info we have. Like others, I was fooled a little by 2D images for awhile (moving or still). Unlike others, I've learned and grown and moved on since then, while they're still looking at their images (often from lousy camera angles).
    • Day 12 - 2025-12-31 Limited time today, and heavy rains here. 5-10 minutes of mirror work for full swing, working on trail side.
