Fox Sports continues to revamp its talent roster with the addition of Curtis Strange, who will be the network’s lead on-course reporter.

In a phone conversation with Golfweek, Strange confirmed that he signed a three-year contract with Fox on Feb. 25.

“I wanted to work another contract. I’m 61 now, somewhat physically fit – that’s debatable,” he said, with a laugh. “I enjoy the TV role.

I still think they made a mistake getting rid of Norman and a worse mistake keeping Buck, but this is a good move.

This actually disappoints me as I've never cared for his analysis.  I perceive him to be dripping with arrogance and elitism and it doesn't register well with me.  I've also heard some stories about his off-course demeanor that I'm sure color my perceptions.  As I recall, A Long Walk Spoiled did not reflect him in a very positive light.  

Always much preferred Zinger  during their time together at ABC/ESPN.  Perhaps they're great friends and Zinger had something to do with this hire?

In any case, I'll fight through my displeasure if Fox keeps bringing it with graphics, effects and most importantly, an abundance of actual golf shot coverage.
