Hi,

I hit a few shots with a friends transition s 7 and 8 iron with regular graphite shafts yesterday and really enjoyed the results of what I got of them.  I was just wondering if the baffler xl are the same but a newer version. I really struggle with 5,6 and 7 irons and was wondering if the baffler xl gives as much forgiveness as the transition s gave me yesterday, as I'm looking to buy a set to try and didnt know which to go for.

Thanks

The Baffler XLs are very easy to hit. I had a set of the previous year's Bafflers and they were very easy. The XLs are an improvement over them as far as forgiveness goes. Cobra has been working to make their SGI line extremely forgiving. Considering the Baffler XLs are last year's model, the prices for a new set are quite good. You can pick up a 5-GW for $450 new US with Graphite shafts. But I know it'll be different in the UK.

Thanks,  i have just been reading about the cleveland 588 altitude set and wondered if these would be a better option than the baffler xl.  Anyone had much experience with these.

I tried them a couple of times last summer and they were pretty easy to hit. They felt a little heavier than I liked..
