Assistance please: I have for years swung with an in to out path +4 degrees. While that has not altered I am occasionally suffering from a closed clubface at impact which induces a big draw/hook. This can occur from a 9 iron upwards. I have a neutral grip. Any drills to assist in removing this gratefully accepted.

Thank you.

Open the club face before gripping the club.

But if he did that he would only "occasionally" hit it straight.

Op - you are probably not suffering from a closed club face with a 4 degree in to out path or else you would not be hitting a "big draw/hook."  You would be hitting a nose diving smothered pull duck hook.  You are suffering from a square or slightly open face.  It needs to be open just slightly less than 4 degrees so it only draws back a little.  I'm not qualified to give any advise on how to actually do that though.

Not having seen you swing this is only a guess. Could it be that on those occasional big draw/hooks you forget to keep your body moving while your arms and hands continue on through? Just a thought.

Yes get that swing path fixed it's really the only cure. As far as drills go try initiating a rehearsed takeaway and impact see where you want it to start and it end.  If looks good and that's what your doing than there is other culprits such as swaying, reverse pivot and sometimes just aiming to far right.
