Which is easier to hit Mp-57 or R7 TP

I am just wondering which iron is easier to hit out of the Mizuno MP-57 and the Taylormade r7 TP. I have hit the r7 and it was great, I was especially pleased that I could get the 3 iron very high with ease.

Would I get the samr result with the Mizuno Mp-57? I love the look of the 57's and if they peformed anything like the r7 TP's then they would be the perfect iron for me.

I think the R7's are much easier to hit, I have hit both, the only difference is that the R7's jump of the face much more than the 57's do

Easier might be a tough question...I looked up the specs on these two irons and they are quite similiar in offset etc. The R7 TP might go a little further because it is stainless but the will feel a little better becuase of being forged. Plus the MP irons are just down right gorgeous...okay I might be somewhat bias as I play the MP 60...

However, I will tell you that being a 14 handicap and playing the MP 60 is a challenge (I bought them with the intention of becoming an excellent ball striker and I am currently working with a Coach to get to my goals) because they will let you know when you miss hit a ball but that is what I want right now. Also I will share that I recently went to a demo day to hit some Burner Drivers and to warm up I decided to swing the R7 TP (6 iron) and I really like these irons as I hit it very solid and they are more forgiving then my MP's. Again I guess it all depends on what you mean by easier...

Both solid clubs. TM has a clicker feel vs Mizuno has a softer feel. Ease of use is pretty similar. You won't go wrong with either one or the other.

How easy is it to get the long irons up in the air. How much forgiveness is there on off centre strikes.

Can't speak for the TMs, but the MP-57s are NOT a "game improvement" set as they won't do you any favors. Forgiving, yes, but they won't "help" you get the ball in the air. I know they are easier than the MP-60, and of course easier to hit than the blades, but they are in the same ballpark.

I am not one to tell people that a certain club is too much for them, so take em for a spin. However, the MX lineup was certainly an option for me when I was looking for irons... I just let the aesthetics of these "players clubs" influence my decision. I love them, but for a mid-handicapper, they can be a handful if not struck well.

Very well put and seeing you play the MP-57's then you should have first hand knowledge...I especially hear you on the point

I have the TM R7 TP and could not be happier. I think these clubs are probably the est I have ever owned and I have had my share. I had bought the Callaway X forged first, but did not get the right shaft (DGs300, however played the S400 for years). I was not 100% happy with the combo so I demoed the TM r7 TP with the same shaft to compare. I could barely if any tell the difference in feel. The TM has a great feel and are extremely forgiving. I ended up selling he callaways and getting the TM and could not be happier... The irons are everything I have wanted from a club.

Very cool and don't get me wrong in that I think the R7 TP's are awesome clubs and very well made...its just that personally I like the looks of the MP's better But from a performance standpoint I think the MP-57 and R7 TP are very close. Also I will add that when I hit the R7 TP at the demo day the Rep told me that all the staff on tour play these irons except for Sergio and Justine Rose (2007 Order of Merit winner) and they play the muscleback irons. That is strong in my opinion...
