I dont know anything about the Chrome Soft. That said, I am a big fan of the Volvik ball line up. I play Bridgestone balls because they are easie to get in this area. However, I think Volvik, and Bridgestone balls are in a dead heat with each other with regards to playability.

Have tried the Chrome Soft and didn't like it, so the Volvik may compare favorably performance wise. I just can't stand the color of them! If the duty of a wine is to be red, the duty of a golf ball is to be white!

The VIBE is probably closer to last years Chrome Soft than it is this years version.  The new Chrome Soft are 4 piece balls that are slightly higher compression than last years version.  Chrome Soft is now their pro players model (looks like they killed the SR 3) so I'm assuming the redesign was to perform better with higher swing speeds than the original Chrome Soft was intended.

      Day 4 (12 Mar 26) - nine hole session with grandson - played along side him from most fwd tees with seven  club setup -D,7w, 5,7,9,55° and putter.  Worked with him on his green side approach play.  Had some great shot making opportunities on my own, best part was seeing him make solid swings.
