Does anyone know if one finish has any characteristics that the other does not? Mainly spin. I have a set of the Stainless now and won a set of the Chrome. I think the Chrome looks better, but I do not want to change and end up spinning the ball more. I tend to over spin all of my irons.

I read the review here and have read the Titleist website but neither had anything to say comparing the two. I did see where Taylor Made says their chrome wedges spin more than their satin finish wedges.

I want to switch to the Chrome model but I want to make sure before I do. I only plan to keep one set and the Chrome set is in a little bit better shape than my set of Stainless.

I spoke to Titleist about this and the answer I got was that the difference between the two is stictly cosmetic. I've played with both and while I think the chrome feels just a touch softer, it could just be in my head. Performance-wise, IMO, they're identical.

I think these are such cool irons. If I were in the market for them, and their performance were the same, I would opt for the chrome: so old school, they might make you wish for tassels on your shoes.

Chrome or Stainless makes no difference . These are great clubs and it would contribute alot to anybodys game . I would go for the stainless as it would have the surgical stainless steel look .

Yes, you are very lucky to have 2 sets. The finish will not affect playing characteristics, except the chrome may feel a tiny bit softer. It is mainly cosmetic

    • Day 14:  I hit a bucket with my 7i and driver, didn’t hit my 7 well but my driver was good.  Played my first “real” 9 holes.  Sure, I had a few mulligans but I kept score.  Lost two balls in the water.  Had to chip from the edge of the water and did pretty good, just rolled too far past the hole.  Par was 33 and I wasn’t double but  I was closer to it than I would have liked.  I had a bogey on 9 so that ended it on a sweet note for me.
    • Day 134 - Had a tournament today, played poorly. Same as yesterday where the driving was great, but the second shots were awful. Need to dial that in tomorrow so I don’t finish DFL.
    • Day 313: range session. Worked on my feel for getting my hips more open/rotated at impact. Then did a stack session.
