Hi, my name is Grant, and I live in Christchurch, New Zealand. I'm 23, and I've been playing golf SUPER casually with my dad (1-2 rounds per year) since he bought me my first set of clubs when I was about 13. I just joined a local club last week, and I'm looking forward to playing much more frequently and improving my game. Currently scoring around 110 but looking to crack that down to around 90 within a year.

Thanks for having me, and I look forward to all of you helping me to get better at this challenging sport. :)

      Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
