paint fill

my paint fill on my irons is wearing out and was wondering what kind of paint can i use to touch it up?.

Don't know what kind of paint but when you find one would you mind painting mine as well.If you have that steady a hand you must be a d**m good painter.just razzin ya dude

.Try a auto paint shop.you will need a very fine brush tip and car paint will last longest.

Testors model paint works well. I use it for my clubs.

Yes,that paint works well.I used it on my model cars when I was a kid..........so long ago

This works very well. Tape off general area use toot pick or something with similar head. Apply to letters. Wait for a few minutes. Take a smooth paper towel, fold and press so the towel is very flat. Apply accetone to towel and wipe excess in one direction. Use and old iron or something to practice on first. It should come out fine and then you may want to customize others.

On your irons?

I used a black Sharpie as an experiment on my Pings. On the sole, on the numbers, if that's what you want for a quick look. Steady hand -- wipe.

If you want to go for the gusto -- Elmer's "Painters" Fine Point will do the job. Available at Wal-Mart.

Not happy with the results -- and how they look in the bag from top view? Practice -- hit a few buckets.

Or use nail polish remover if they immediately don't agree with your eyes.



PS:

I've seen sellers on eBay selling clubs filling paintfill using a Sharpie -- especially the red colour. Beware -- look for the pics of the grooves -- not the top pic as "what's in the bag". That red colour is a telltale sign -- it'll look "cheap" and not original.

When the colors on my irons numbers wear off, I won't repaint them... I just think it's a waste of time
