My group of buddies probably would check it out for fun, I could see us enjoying it. Dont think it would be viewed as solid practise though.

These things are basically limited to the south right? How north could you operate one of these?

I'm above the 45th parallel.  It is rainy, cold, and humid, here for about half the year (seems more like nine months).  We also get ice and snow, but not a whole lot.

There are huge space heaters in the bays

I've been keen to try out Topgolf ever since I heard about it. Looks like a cross between golf and bowling. Also looks like a good way to get younger people into playing golf, since the numbers have been dropping lately. I think I'll be waiting a wee while before one opens anywhere near me though...

I kind of hope maybe those chips in the golf balls there might help lead to something like RFID golf balls for regular golf.

Yeah it would be interesting to know how that technology works. I'm assuming they just use range balls at Topgolf, but would it affect the structural integrity of a 4 or 5 piece ball having a chip in there?
