I love the blades. I play with a set of Staff FG 17's.  There is a practical reason for this though. My brother, who was a 3-5 handicapper when he played regularly, gave them to me. That was in the mid 80's I believe. I have stopped playing a few times since but I still hit the range as much as I can. When I am hitting on a regular basis they are fun to play. My driver and woods have been updated but I still like the Staff irons. Also I have never bought the equipment excuse. If a person is swinging well they should be able to hit blades. Long story short I have tried the cavity backs and it never feels like there is enough meat on the ball. Hit a blade solid and the ball takes off like you wouldn't believe.
