Hello all,

New to the forum from the Melbourne Florida area!

Just started playing golf last May. Seen some  improvements which is always positive !

Anyways I have a question for you all. I have had trouble with falling back on my driver which has caused me a good amount of distance. I've been working on the step through drill and it has really helped, a little too much. I find my most consistent drives the last week have come using this step drill. Anybody have any tips to transition this drill back into my normal swing?

Thanks, and if anyone in the Melbourne Fl area wants to play let me know!

Welcome!

If you struggle with falling back then you probably struggle with maintaining a steady head in the golf swing.

I would check out these threads,

Here is a video on a steady head,

If you are talking about the Gary Player walk-through, I'll let you know "if" I totally eliminate it.

I recently started using this drill because I wasn't in balance on my downswing. I was falling away from the ball, not necessarily a complete lack of weight shift to the left leg, but I had too much weight on my left heel on the back swing and that was throwing me off.

I kinda like the walk through and it is supposed to be easier on the back.
