Wondering if I should get one of these to feel the right forearm in that correct position http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Callaway-Connect-Easy-Swing-Training-Aid-Right-Left-Handed-GOLFER-/141505636240?pt=UK_Sporting_Goods_Golf_Accessories&hash;=item20f264a790

I wouldn't really worry about getting that. A bungee cord can do that.

Clearly not better, this was with a pause before transition.

Yeah, gotta fold or "soften" that right arm.

Here's a feel for it. Just watch from 2:41-2:51

Bit of work after being ill all christmas. I'm getting the right elbow in a better position at the top but can't get the p1 to p2 elbow look.

Downswing...well....awful

Check out this drill. Fold the arm to A2, then pivot to A4.

Bit of Fold/Pivot feel today, i think the pivot is ok, just need to get better on A2.

I'm still throwing the club outside though on the downswing....really annoying, why is this?

This (flexion of the right arm), really can't do anything but steepen from here.

Bit of work today...

Im still not in early enough flexion...its very irritating, I feel like I'm into it straight away but obviously I'm not.

middle video is with the drill you recommended @mvmac

Thanks @mvmac I am on the range tomorrow so going to get repping. The extension part I've always struggled with, it's why I swipe out to in right? I need to engage the right arm fexion tomorrow then work on doing the limbo haha. Need to work out how I get the long training aid together. I can't thank you enough for input on my game.

My poor attempt at some extension....

Third is the drill, which I presume is to feel the arms coming down and to have no option to extend (or hit way in front of the ball?)

I think I know why I struggle with flex ion to extension in the ds, my squat pattern with a barbell is terrible haha I started to do some deadlifts this week with even real low weights and I have poor form going into a lift. Hopefully I can work on this. I also have too much lateral shift in the DS so I think I need to work on the weight transition more to get the support for the extension.

Yes, too much upper body lateral shift but you need more lower body shift.

Bit of work today.

Still can't get the extension in the backswing without collapsing my arms at the top and losing the arms in front. This is like drilling a hole in your head when I review the video footage.

Also when reviewing video, when trying to ingrain feelings I had no flexion in the downswing...I thought i'd try and get to flexion on the first downswing move getting weight onto my left side.

Also in the downswing my right leg is flexed at P4 ...should my left hip be getting higher in P4 and the leg straighter?

Extension is non existent still but all of the above is obviously why I can't extend.....

I think you just need to feel it sooner. Create more of that "separation" from the lower center to the upper center sooner.

I'd practice it like this, hold it for a couple seconds at impact. Note how his hips are forward, head doesn't translate forward.

You mean the right hip?

Looks fine to me, checkpoint is that you can see some daylight between your legs.

    • Musgrove Mill hole #15 was converted to a par 3 after Hurricane Helene. Today, I had 145 from the tee which is a perfect 9-iron for me. I aimed just right of the hole and pulled it a few feet. Clanked off the stick down into the hole and ricocheted out of the hole 13’ away. Drained the putt for a birdie after repairing the hole which was damaged . Not sure if it would have counted as a HIO, but I was pretty excited!
    • Day 55 - 2024-11-24 Did five levels of Operation 36 on GSPro (different courses). 🙂 Was -4 from 200 yards (32) intentionally laying up on each hole (i.e. not hitting a 5I or something). Shot… 22, 24, 26 from 25, 50, and 100 yards. I forget my 150-yard score, but obviously it was < 36. Putting was odd… (and I did it with the wedge or a 7I or whatever was in my hand).
