There was a topic on here a while back about using headphones while on the course. I can't seem to find that thread. Sure there was a lot of bashing about not being able to hear people yell "fore!" and stuff. But I am usually on the course when there are VERY few people out (late evening). I would only use these at those times.

I'm looking for a pair of in-ear, bluetooth, NON noise cancelling headphones. The only ones I can seem to find are the ones that jam into your ear (I have a pair and do use them) but I don't like how it blocks out all outside noise. I can't even hear my ball strikes.

Does anyone know of any that I could look at? I don't want them to be over-ear. And they need to be lightweight like your standard ear buds. I like everything about my current pair but the fast that they have to be jammed down into my ear I do not like.

Thanks!

Why not just get a small Bluetooth speaker and be done with it?  Best of both worlds...

Except for the world where other golfers play on your course, and don't want to hear your music.

You might want to look at Jabra Sport headphones. I don't have personal experience with them, but they do come with a lot of different "fittings" so you can choose how they fit in your ears.

You could get a pair w/earhooks and not push them in.

Read the OP.  He specifically said that he plays when very few others are on the course.

I would say that if you would like to wear headphones, go right ahead.  If you are going to go the small speaker or even phone speaker and nobody on the course can hear it or be affected, it shouldn't really matter

Now, if you were going to play when it is crowded or during a tournament, I would say to not use either

Sometimes I think it can help me at the range to wear headphones as it can help me clear my mind.  That can be a bad thing but if I am just working on something simple like grip or stance, I think its okay

Thanks for the advice, yea I could probably get away with playing low volume music from my push cart but I would constantly be worried that someone could hear it. So I'd really like to stick to headphones. I don't particularly care how they affect my game when wearing them, because when I'm wearing them I will be playing by myself and can't report a score for handicapping purposes anyways. But honestly, I use them because they do clear my mind of work thoughts and other things and make me feel a little more peaceful which I think it helpful for stress. Golf in the evenings for me is a stress reliever.

Aha! yes this is the style I'm looking for! Thanks, I'll look into them.
