Anybody know why this ball isn't on Titleist's website. Or, for that matter, why any of the Titleist balls at Wal-Mart aren't on their website?

Driver: FT-3 Tour 10.5, Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 75-S

Anybody know why

I think the Titleist Tour Prestige ball is rather old ball made 7 or 8 years ago...In other words, Titleist doesn't make them any more. Perhaps Wal-Mart got a deal on old stock???

Wal-Mart does the CX-something-or-nuther. Same with Titliest.

Why? Because they don't want to cheapen their brand identity?

As it is not a current ball being manufactured (or at least widely publicised) it will not be on their website any more.
Some companies such as have a Club History section of their website where you can browse through specifications for old model clubs, I had a quick search on the website for you and couldn't find anything related to his ball, so out of production and off the website basically

Just because they are not listed on the website doesn't mean that they are out of production. They may just make them for a different market.

Volkswagen did the same thing with the old beetle for years.

      I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
