Mr Mayo came to Holland. I was very fortunate to finally meet him and very lucky to book a lesson. To sum it up. It was impressive, learningfull, in no time he had me hitting draws. First, he set my body. It felt very umcomfortable at first, but after a few moments I got used to it. Feet flared, handle up like throwing a frisbee. At first it felt very strange but after a while, i started drawing. Amazing. My left knee is strechting to quickly I must work at that amd as soon as I got that undet control, i start ripping it. The sound of impact became different, more oof a thumpb. I have practised now for a few weeks. I am not totally familar, but I can control my curvature more and more. Played 2 rounds, committing to the new swing sonto speak. I draw the ball now, sometimes even hooling it. I hook it when i straighten my knee to soon in the downswing. When I keep my flex longer. It draws. I gained distance and I know noe bettet what my clubface is doing. I was very impressed with Joe. After me, he helped a semi pro player. I never ever seen someone before who became a better player within one hour under the guidence of a top coach. Player ne and he found his mojo. Joe is an absolute tip top pro with tons of knowledge. I felt fortunate to have met him

They filmed me, but unfortunately I only have it on my app and somehow I can not copy paste it.  But whenever I am on film, I want to quit golf. Horrible

Glad to hear it. I stumbled across Joe's videos on YouTube several years ago and came away pretty impressed. I thought he did a really nice job explaining spin axis tilt and other ball flight concepts in a way that dummies like me could understand.

Its nice to hear that his coaching ability is on par with his knowledge of the golf swing.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
