Hi,
I just found this site a few days ago and am hoping it turns out to be a helpful and fun place to visit. I live in the high country of Arizona (Prescott) so am not playing much right now but we have a pretty long season and beautiful summers - so if any of you travel to play you might consider this area. I'm a weekend duffer and enjoy all the new equipment reviews - especially the ones provided by the end users. Hope to make some new friends here........Mike

No I haven't been to Crown King. Don't do much 4 wheeling anymore. If you do happen to get in the area look me up and maybe we'll go whack a few balls, although it looks like you may be a better whacker than I am. Actually we're a little over 5000 ft so I guess that would account for my occassional 300 yd drive.

Welcome to the site. I am new here as well.

I have never played golf in Prescott, but I have played baseball at Yavapai.

I get down to Arizona a few times a year to play, but mostly in the Tucson area.

Mike I am also a duffer with a 9 hdcp after beating on balls for 70 years. I was a member on a national championship team in the Netherlands in 1964 before the computer was invented. I enjoy people trying to beat up on a 74 year old man and trying to releave me of my savings. I am willing to play you straight up. Just tell me how much you want to win. In the mean time I am trying to revolutionize the game of golf by making the game easier, more exciting, lowering scores and improving the pace of play. Sounds like a pie in the sky. What I do is provide the correct aim line to the hole on each of the greens. As i get more familiar with the Internet and these forums I hope to share more about my ideas and look forward to meeting people who might be interested in improving the player development and retention of golf.

    • So excited you made it out! I live in Portland and go most springs. If you liked Sheep's Ranch you ain't seen nothing yet. It's incredibly picturesque and with a 2 club wind it's not a cake walk. But as far as the quality of the course in terms of challenge and interest, in my opinion it's easily the worst on the property! Also, Old Mac started as my least favorite (this was before Sheep's Ranch opened). But I listened to the fried egg podcast about it and read through Doak's descriptions and it totally changed my perspective. Now it's fighting for top spot. So excited for you!
