Anyone have any experience with either. I'm trying to decide which one to buy.

Wife says I need to lose some weight, so I'm going to carry my clubs now.

Looking for comfort, quality, and longevity.

Id probably go the ping hoofer route. Those things are great! Friend beat the heck out of one for eons before it finally bit the dust. Good luck! He he! Just saw the date, but maybe your a slow methodical kind of decision maker and the tip will still be relevant. :-P

I'll second the Ping Hoofer.  I still use my old Ping Hoofer Vantage when I carry.  Very comfortable and has lasted me over 10 years.

Only downfall I can think of is, I don't think the newer versions have the retractable strap anymore.

I am not a fan of the 14 way bags, so I would prefer the Sun Mountain. Based on the specs from the websites, it also about a pound lighter, and that extra pound makes a difference over 18 holes. Sometimes I like to take more than 14 clubs to the range or out on the course to test them out. The 14 way top restricts the number of clubs you can carry.
