I spied this hybrid at the veterans store. I liked the graphics and also could use a #3 Hybrid.

Delta XL 1000, 19 Deg, True Temper Steel Shaft. It has a Stainless Steel face.  Looks like some Calloway knock off's I have seen. Very little info on the company, only a few similar on E-bay. fwiw, I bought it anyway  $2.95

Thanx

Must have been a difficult decision? That's a lot of money.

No, I have been going into pawn shops looking for any cheap graphite club to use as my practice club. As in practice pulling shafts. I haven't found anything less than 8 dollars.

I know. This particular Vet store seems to once in awhile have some decent golden oldies. I have found matching irons several weeks apart. example MacGregor V-foil VIP 5 iron, personalized with the initials G.S. and a few weeks later, a matching 3 iron. I have seen a number of Big Berthas, Titleist 975 and 976, Taylormde Burners. e.t.c.  This hybrid, just looked nice. Pristine condition. Will use in practice cage, and try out on course. I think the most I ever paid was six bucks.  I've sold some on ebay for much more than I paid. I almost had a complete set of Orlimar Miraged Tri-metals, and wish I kept them.  My reason for posting was I never heard of Delta.

If it works, go with it! And remember... maybe you can intimidate the young-uns by carrying a secret club from the past!

Ha, not likely. This particular club does not appear old, just not a name brand. I think they are probably considered a "starter" set. Just the same, it looks really good.  The intimidation factor might present itself with my Persimmons however. In fact, except for the hybrids, all my clubs are old school to a degree. (see my signature).

I should take a photo of the Palmer Driver. I coat it with a light oil and it looks brand new, even the face shows nice sharp grooves. It has been refurbished, Urethane top coat I believe.
