Thanks for the correction. I heard that it was rare, but didn't actually see the stats. ~ 50% is pretty good considering how often an early round leader converts. It makes sense too. Rounds around 60 are easily two regular rounds' worth of birdies.

I was really thinking about the 59s on PGA tour primarily. Given how rare they are, I'd agree your approach does make sense in considering them as a group world-wide.

@Ernest Jones, I now ascribe to Saevel's lump em all together approach, though I'd expect the other tours play some courses that are relatively "easier" than the easiest courses the PGA plays. Don't have any data on it, though.
