Good day all.

First time forum poster here.  I hope that this question meets the eyes of someone who can help.  I've been offered a miracle out of nowhere: 2 tickets for The Masters.  These are not my passes or badges (whatever they're called).  They came from a close friend, in other words from what I've read on other site - I'm not the "accredited patron" I have read about.  These were gifted to me.  I wanted to go with my wife and take our two kids (9 & 12).  Before I price out flights and book hotel, I'd really like to get the scoop on this.  Should it be just my son and I or can the family go (2 adults and 2 kids)?

Any help would be appreciated.  Many thanks!

Junior Pass Program explained

The Masters allows accredited patrons to bring a child between the ages of 8 to 16. But there are certain protocols to follow.

According to the club, fans ages 8-16 can attend free when accompanied by an accredited patron (the person whose name appears on the series badge application) ON TOURNAMENT DAYS (Thursday - Sunday). There is a limit of one child per patron.

Also:

The program does not apply to volunteers, employees or business partners who receive or purchase series badges.

Juniors need not be related to the accredited patron to attend.

Juniors must register at the ticket gate; patrons must show driver’s license.

A complimentary pass will be issued to the junior, and it is not transferable.

That seems reasonably clear to me.

    • Titleist TSR1 or TSi1.  Both have adjustable hosels. edit:  Forgot to mention the GT1.
    • I've been really absent all things golf since September but have been getting the bug lately.  Today in SE Michigan we have our first thaw of the year.  It is Sunny and 53 degrees and boy do I want to get on a golf course!  Spring is around the corner 🙂
    • I assume you are posting 15 or 16 holes and letting the USGA algorithm insert projected scores for the missing holes. How is that going? Are the projected scores reasonable? I have yet to do this.
    • You're right. I haven't really had an issue with this before, but it's definitely worth closing the legs a bit to see what happens. I've had 2 of these and never had this problem before. About 5 years of use between the 2. It's really odd. Yeah, I've always had a bit of inconsistency and misreads, but this is a new level. I did a baseline session last night, and all my of stack speeds had decreased by roughly 5-10 mph (with me throwing out the obvious garbage readings). Weirdly, the driver speed actually seemed to be right where I expected it. I guess maybe it's having trouble with the smaller head of the stack vs. a driver? Whatever it is, I think it's time for me to go with the stack radar.
    • @DeadManI used to use the Swing Speed radar and, in hindsight, it seems very unreliable.  As @iacassaid, it's prone to misplacement, and I'd sometimes get wildly different speeds from swing-to-swing: like a 103mph, followed by 118mph, then a 102mph, then a 114mph.  I didn't know any better at the time and thought that was normal.  I've since upgraded radars and the new speeds seem much more accurate/consistent. Also, Mike Carroll (FFG) used to have the SSR and he now calls it a 'random number generator'.
