Wondering if anyone has got their wedges fitted?

My specs for irons are +1 degree upright, +1/4 inch in length. Only a minor difference from the stock you get in retail outlets but is it worth getting them to match you specs?

Wondering if anyone has got their wedges fitted?

I just bought new wedges and took them to my repair guy who adjusted the lie and then he suggested to add 1/4 because my irons are 1/4. I decided not to extend the length and play them standard length (sw, lw). I haven't noticed a difference.

hawkeye,

It is MORE important to have your wedges fit for your swing and impact dynamics than it is for you irons. Lie angle misdirection is magnified by loft, so getting the proper lie angle on your wedges is vital. Also, since some players often swing their wedges slightly differently from their irons and woods it is very important that they be fit dynamically off a lie board for true fitting.
