Congrats to Penn State for owning the rest of the country. For anyone that follows college wrestling, I think all of us expected PennState to win, but damn!

Mark Hall, a true freshman, won to make it 4 straight Penn State individual titles. Crazy weekend

Too bad OSU didn't have the depth that PSU has. Though we do have the best wrestler in the world in Kyle Snyder ;)

Just to wrap up his accolades so far: World Champion. Olympic Gold Medalist. Two-time Big Ten heavyweight champion. Two-time undefeated NCAA champion. :-D

Yeah, Penn State's 25pounder (the best in the country) was even out due to injury and could've made their team point total even higher, flirting with the record.

With regards to Snyder, you think he'll come back next year for his 3rd title? I have a feeling he's going to end up signing a contract with someone and forego it - that would be a shame from the fan's standpoint, but if he gets hurt next year then he will have wished he made his money while he had the chance.

    • Tale of two swings.  Swing 1: Slightly outside takeaway (hands move outside of target line) only to allow trail elbow over collapsing at P4. Doesn't take much to overdo it for the trail elbow collapse to only further exaggerate. That's death. Swing 2: Hands stay slight in at takeaway for a much better trail elbow condition at P4. This is a hard sell from an instinct perspective. More focus on un-weighting and re-weighting of lead foot to unlock a bit more mobility of hips and torso. A major flaw that creeps up often is me swinging flat footed and becoming overly armsy-collapsy as a result. Got reminded of this the hard way during my 2nd round match for club net championship. Was cruising along 2up until I made the turn. Then lost the swing for next five holes. Andy was playing good enough to capitalize. By the time I regained my swing on 16th, it was too late. Even Andy was like "That was a gift". Obviously that stings because have played well enough lately. Should have closed him out of the game comfortably with a few holes to spare. Shoulda woulda coulda. Tough lesson. Damn. P.S. I know the swings look very similar but trust me there is a difference.
