Am I becoming Ricky Ranger?

I was out running errands today, and found myself in the vicinity of a practice facility with the clubs in the car and some time to kill, so I stopped in to hit a small bucket. After loosening up and hitting a few sloppy shots I thought to myself, "OK dude, let dial it in and get serious!"

Next thing you know I'm hitting everything dead on the button! So as not to hit the same club to the same spot time after time, I have a game I like to play at the range. I imagine I'm playing a local course, and choose clubs and targets as called for. I never hit the same club twice, and pick all different lines around the range. These sessions almost always go remarkably well.

Then the thought intrudes, "Where was this the last time I played?" The last time I played, especially on the back nine, I looked like one of the Three Stooges! Moe! Larry! Help!

I have no idea what's going on. I know how to hit a golf ball effectively, but can't seem to transfer that skill to where it counts!
