So today at the chipping green I was doing this thing where I'm like 5 yds off the green and use 1 hand to drag my club behind the ball until it hits.   I hope you get what I'm saying. 

Doing this I probably put 20 shots in a row within 5 ft of a cup 20 ft away.  

Is this a legal shot?  Can I bring this to the course? It's basically impossible to mishit the ball.

No. It is a breach of 14-1 (a).

The ball must be fairly struck at with the head of the club and must not be pushed, scraped or spooned.
