My legs recently star to freeze up on the downswing. This is causing me to fire my upper body blocking  and pull/hooking the shots. When I'm playing and practicing often starting the downswing with my knee, then leg and eventually hips it comes almost naturally..it feels great and it allows mo hit them further and I'm able to clear. The thing is  I do not think about it...it just happens,  something mechanically occurs that triggers my legs being more active.

Do you have any thoughts you use or mechanical moves to allow you to lead the downswing with your legs? Is it that you focus on your hip instead?

Help from anyone who doesn't start the swing the upper body would help. Thanks.

Do you have a swing thread?

I'd look into why your legs freeze on the downswing. Or at least film to confirm this is actually happening.
