I started the year 25.7 HDCP, didn't get to play much until late May. Since then, I have lowered my HDCP about a half stroke per 15-day revision. I'm now down to 24.0.

I've had three rounds in the upper 80s, but haven't had a steady string in the 80s to really lower my differential. Last few rounds, I've always ended up with a couple of strokes that were the result of poor decisions rather than mishits. I've had two rounds with no tripleBs, which seems to be the gateway for hitting the 80s.

I guess I should be glad it's creeping down - I just wish it moved faster.

The fastest way to get better is by being simple, specific, slow, short and successful.

We'll all get there eventually with better mechanics and truly knowing where your weakest parts of your game are.

Well, I know you're practicing near daily because I see you in the daily practice thread.  But I'm not following too closely -- what sort of lessons are you taking?  Do you have a "My Swing" thread and/or an evolvr subscription?

I'm not even a seasoned citizen yet like you and I'd be happy with a half point per revision :-)

I have a My Swing thread, but have not entered anything in awhile. A friend tried to do a hand-held for me with a cellphone cam, but the down-the-line perspective was bad. I've got a DSLR camera and tripod now, so I just need a day when I can set it up without causing a stir on the range.

My local pro exited the golf industry at Christmas time (and he's now my investment advisor, I'm serious on this.) I'm kind of between pros right now.

Iacas and MvMac gave me some things to work on over My Swing, and I keep going over those. One of the big things was a drill to help relax the right (trailing) elbow and get it away from the right ribs.

I don't like to start new lessons unless I have time to practice the learning, and I had some family/life things too close out this spring. The things are out of way now.

Yikes.  I hope the family/life things turn out okay.  Best of luck with the coming practice -- I know when I've had time to practice I've generally improved.

Best of luck with your former pro / new investment advisor ... but that's another topic and it's literally from something I can't imagine going at alone (golf) to something I cannot imagine hiring help for (retirement planning and the like).

In any event, I look forward to seeing that index drop.  You know so much about clubs they should be listening to you more!
