I have been playing a local par 3 course where the holes, depending on the tee played, range from 50 to 182 yards.  If we play a couple of rounds from different tee locations I pretty much need to carry LW through 5i. So I am looking for a fairly inexpensive bag & push cart that need only hold 7-8 clubs.  Any suggestions?  I will settle for just a good small bag, but after playing 2 rounds in 114 degree (real feel) weather last Saturday a cart would be real plus.

You need a Sunday golf bag.

Yes, this would be my suggestion too ... if you are walking and carrying.  If you are going to use a push cart, then you don't really need a lighter bag nor do you need to remove your longer clubs - you're not really feeling the weight of them anyway.

Well....I don't mean to pick nits, but I can tell when I'm pushing slightly more or slightly less. I noticed both when I went to a lighter bag and to a lighter cart.

OT, but ... you made me chuckle and then ask myself ... "what, exactly, is a 'nit?'"  Looked it up and now I'm confused as to how in tarnation the saying came to be.

Quote

Nitpicking is the act of removing nits (the eggs of lice, generally head lice) from the host's hair. As the nits are cemented to individual hairs, they cannot be removed with most lice combs and, before modern chemical methods were invented, the only options were to shave all the host's hair or to pick them free one by one.

That is not a trivial or inconsequential task!!!

But I digress ... @cnl390, go get a Sunday bag, they are the lightest ones out there.

I have a Sunday bag, but anything over 4 or 5 clubs fit tight and they are hard to get on and out.  And I just hate lugging my big bag around just to play a par 3 course.  Call me lazy, but now that l am 63 anything easier is better.

Thanks. It looks like the item is no longer available. I went to several sites, but same message.  Oh well, maybe EBAY.
