When I bought my new irons at Golf Galaxy, they had me use their Ping 7i fitting club. They first tested me for shaft height using an impact sticker.  We determined on the Ping that I needed a 1/2" off (or 3/4" off my TM's since they are a 1/4" longer club).  Then they had me hit the impact board for lie angle.  They said I needed 2 degrees flat so that is what they adjusted them to.

Today I went back to the range and feel like I have remedied the problem.  From the get go I put one of my headcovers under my right arm and took some practice swings.  I knew right away that I must have been throwing my right elbow out because the movement on the downswing felt pretty foreign.  I hit a few balls and they were straight.  I was able to lose the headcover and hit normally and was able to replicate the swing.  It feels kind of awkward but straight is good.  One thing I did notice, when I tucked my right elbow in I lost some distance.  But I will take straight over erratic distance any day.  I probably just need to find a way to increase my clubhead speed a bit without throwing the swing out of whack.

What I may do next time is take my video camera and tape my swing and see what you guys think.
