Ball hitting camerman?

So watching the Dell Tech tournament this afternoon, M. Leishman has a funky shot in a hazard on the 18th. The shot practically shanked dead right and the cameraman actually made quite an athletic move to avoid being struck. My question is how would the rules have played out had it struck him? Would it be treated as a ball hitting a spectator would be? Seems like it should be handled different for some reason as he was standing like 8 feet away and not part of the gallery.

That was crazy! Looked like it came off the toe. The commentators said it could have went back down the gulley if the cameraman didn't move, implying he'd have to play it from wherever it ended up.

The cameraman is an outside agency.  He would have played his next stroke as it lies.

Rule 19-1 applies.

Quick escape from the cameraman. The rule would have been to just play the ball out from where it ended up - same as hitting a fan.

      Day 58: night putting session for about an hour. Started with lag putting and ended with putts inside 9’. I need to work on putts from 6-12’, but in a solid spot overall.

      Birdied a different #6 today (incidentally, also a par-5, but not the same one on which I previously birdied).  Here's the funny thing though:  it's the par-5 that caused me to post my "how do I avoid bogeys?" on par-5s recently.  So I guess I still haven't parred that hole.

      Day 20, May 24.  Played 18 today, very poor ball driving.  One GIR, and it was a 4-wood from the rough.  Several other instances of hitting a green on a full swing (and at least one full swing motion -- a 50% UW) that wasn't for GIR.   Still shot an 87 and even had a birdie (chip-in).

      Welcome to TST.  I spent a bit of time in the UK but I had to look up Wagon Wheels.  Don't think I ever saw them.  Had to Google to see.  Couple similar items in US but Google says they are different. 😁
