My pro uses some video system with 2 cameras where I can view my swing on some monitor where also a swing plane. Cameras track from behind and the side. When doing lessons with him he tells me to slowly follow the plane sometimes. This and seeing myself on the screen helps a lot with everything. After some time my body seems to forget this plane and other stuff.

I was wondering if there is an app for the iphone that does the same? I know there are many apps which can record. But I am not sure if there apps which show a live view where you can draw a swing plane ? My idea is to send the video information to apple TV and finally to a TV screen. Theoretically with 2 iphones and 2 screens you could even do a 2 cam setup.

I think I found something which will do this.

I did not notice you already cited this in your original post. Sorry for the repetition but the video I provided does give you the chance to see it in operation. I am thinking of getting this, but will have to wait as I do not even have a laptop or tablet yet and there are simply other financial priorities right now. I could use some advice on what to buy however that would not break the bank. Thinking maybe one of those surface pro things, but I am sure there are less expensive ones that would fit the bill. (I have an old desktop currently).

@yanni, My little Canon A1100 Power shot has a FPS of only 30. It is fine for most filming as far as noting paths, angles, shoulder plane but you really need a high speed camera if you want to see anything at all at impact, especially whether or not  the club face is open or closed.  I do not remember what the minimum recommended is, nor do I remember the link on here that goes into detail. A lot of folks seem to get by with their smart phones, which many are around 60 FPS. The video above of Live View seems to fill the purpose for which it was intended, but 20 fps would limit you.  It depends on what you feel you need. I will have to take this into consideration when and if I cut the cord on my landline.  I am looking at the Moto G4 which has most of the features of the higher priced smart phones such as Galaxy S8, although the S7's have come down a lot and they seem to be running some good deals. I think MOTO  uses 16 megapixels which is good.

i should add that in further observation, it appears that the Moto G4 has a professional mode where you can select speed, aperture e.t.c.  They went on to say that if you film in Slow Motion, you get 120 fps otherwise it is only 30 fps with the front view camera at normal speed. I guess my next question would be whether or not that would take care of the problem in that if you did film in slow motion, you could then have a good look at impact. I am only beginning to learn some of this stuff.

    • Day 58: night putting session for about an hour. Started with lag putting and ended with putts inside 9’. I need to work on putts from 6-12’, but in a solid spot overall.
    • Birdied a different #6 today (incidentally, also a par-5, but not the same one on which I previously birdied).  Here's the funny thing though:  it's the par-5 that caused me to post my "how do I avoid bogeys?" on par-5s recently.  So I guess I still haven't parred that hole.
    • Day 20, May 24.  Played 18 today, very poor ball driving.  One GIR, and it was a 4-wood from the rough.  Several other instances of hitting a green on a full swing (and at least one full swing motion -- a 50% UW) that wasn't for GIR.   Still shot an 87 and even had a birdie (chip-in).
    • Welcome to TST.  I spent a bit of time in the UK but I had to look up Wagon Wheels.  Don't think I ever saw them.  Had to Google to see.  Couple similar items in US but Google says they are different. 😁
    • Day 264 5-24 Worked on getting chest through and arms down infront of chest. Contact isn't great yet but on video looking better.
