    • Halfway through the away course challenge after making birdies on 1 and 9 this weekend. About a month behind where I was last year, but I haven't played as much golf so far. I've only had one overlapping birdie so far, too. Lots of season left!
    • Day 57: tournament day. Solid 77, +5. Got a brutal break with a fried egg buried in at the top of a bunker that led to a 7. Otherwise, 12 GIR, no lost balls, a lot of solid birdie looks. Very pleased.

    • During spring and summer months, I clean mine about once a month and they definitely need it.  Years ago, I bought this grip cleaning tube brush and it was absolutely great.  Somehow in multiple moves, I lost it.  Recently, found a new variety online and purchased it.  Well, now that I am old and have mid-size grips, it does not work worth a damn.  If you have regular size grips, I highly recommend this product.   Golf Grip Cleaning Brush - SGD Golf Golf Grip Cleaning Brush
    • The decision about replacing them is personal. If you clean them, do they come back like new? A lot of the time they probably do and if that's the case then no need to replace. If they are still slippery after cleaning them then might be time to get them done.
