Day 5:  Practiced with my 7i at home then some putting at the range before playing 9 holes.  I really thought I was going to beat my best score by 2 or 3 strokes but I tied it.

I may not hit the ball far, but at least I find all of the pretty flowers.

Day 589, June 14, 2024

Played at Kahkwa Club today. I hit some really good shots, and some really bad ones, particularly warming up. I wasn't really in it but should have been. Dumb.

Erik J. Barzeski —  I knock a ball. It goes in a gopher hole. 🏌🏼‍♂️

Looks like I didn’t hit submit on yesterday’s post. Oops.

June 13. Day 91. Technique work into the net working on path. Little bit of time practicing ball beneath the feet lies too.

June 14. Day 92. Technique work into the net working on face and path. Some chipping, where my technique doesn’t feel as comfortable as it did a couple weeks ago.

Day 63:

Priority piece work with 6-iron, half-ish swings (9-3), Mevo+ to check ball flight. Average path is a bit left (1.2 deg) and average face is open (2.9 deg), so mostly fades. Will need to work on face, but overall happy with how this is going.

Also hit 20 balls for short game practice - 10 each pitching and chipping

Day 590, June 15, 2024

Worked the same as yesterday (link here to my Member Swing topic) on the QuadMAX and the same pieces. Clubhead speed stayed around 93-95 most of the time (after five warmups in the 89-91 range).

Day 1 - hit a few balls into net using 9i. Haven’t played but two rounds all year so needing to knock some dust off. Today just revisited some PP from the past (club back & up, extending trail arm)

Day 44. (15 Jun 24) - took yesterday off (was on the road all day, home after midnight kind of thing). Today was back to it - played local course as a solo.  Played one of my fave formats of rotating thru the tee boxes - adds dimension to the approach game.  Best part of the day was the wedge play with a first ever hole out eagle on the par 5 13th hole.  Drive was tight to the left needing a punchy iron to get back to the center of fairway.  Left about 80yds to the flag, figured an easy GW would leave me close for a birdie putt.  Caught it solid and watched it one hop into the hole….over all a good day of working on the game.

    • I’ve never really let my kids win at anything deliberately. I mostly just played games a little bit more casually just to try to match their ability to strategize, but if they won it wasn’t because I threw the game or anything. I don’t feel like my kids need to or should win all the time. That’s not how life works, and the sooner they learn that, the better off they will be.
    • That’s going to be a no from me. Why should I pay extra for new technology just because of their R&D cost? I doubt they’re going to be transformative. I’ll stick with the old tech if it’s cheaper.
    • I almost did a coffee spit take.  Well played sir. Well played.
    • My whole family likes Mille Bourne. We've done family tournaments. I've always enjoyed Euchre too. My company has an annual Euchre tournament.  My kids like Monopoly. I like it too, but my wife makes me let the kids win.  ... BTW - How old do your kids have to be before you no longer have to let them win at Monopoly? Cuz, I keep suggesting to my wife that I should be allowed to smoke them by now.  Our family also plays Blokus Trigon a lot, a bunch of Spy Alley and a bit of Azul.
