"5 Minutes Daily" Practice Challenge

Day 36 (27 Feb 25) - Weekly 9 hole session with my friend Mike.  Went with 7 club setup today, great way to mix up yardages on approaches, with limited club options.  Added to this - solid south tail wind going out, that became a strong head wind coming in.  Started solid - even thru first four holes, bogie and dbl’s on last five.

Had time between lessons. Got some slower work in getting back into it. Going to stay after tomorrow to get some extra work in.

Day 37 (28 Feb 25) - Weekly Friday men's group round.  Hit some decent approaches, but also struggled on some of the shorter pitches that were on less than optimal lies.  The greens were slippery quick (the grounds crew had just cut and rolled them), so it was all about pace with the putter and rolling the ball true.  So ready for the grass to get green again to firm up the approach .

Day 151 - 2025-02-28

Created a distance wedge skills challenge for Junior Elite today and so tested it out.

Day 224: played 18. Got some stuff to work on. Hit some good shots though and made 2 birdies.

Putting through 50 mm gates.

Day 38 (1 Mar 25) - Made it an easy session - worked with the putter with the two ball parallel drill to better deliver the face more square at impact.  Drill consists of  placing two balls side by side and work to get both to come off the face together and roll out roughly the same.

Day 39 (2 Mar 25) - Easy backyard session with the 58° hitting lower spinners (or at least working in that direction)…bladed a couple, but by the end of the session had solid lower flighted hip and stops happening.

Day 153 - 2025-03-02

Practiced between JEP and a lesson. I need to get back into doing some longer sessions. Swings when i demonstrate to the kids aren't there.

Day 227: range session at lunch. Worked on my backswing wrist stuff with a lot of slow rehearsal swings. Filmed my swing to check my wrist stuff. It's definitely improved, which is great. Need to end my backswing slightly earlier, but otherwise, I think I'm making progress.

Day 40 (3 Mar 25) - Got in some swings w/7w into the net in the backyard this afternoon focused on shorter backswing, weight shift and overall tempo.

Day 154 - 2025-03-03

Hit some 6I. I'm going to find some time tomorrow to go practice even if it's in the evening. We're getting blinds installed tomorrow so it won't be during the daytime. 😛
