Day 155 - 2025-03-04

Played 36 holes at Bootlegger's Lair. Shot 45 the second round (-9). I think I was -5 or so the first time around.

Erik J. Barzeski —  I knock a ball. It goes in a gopher hole. 🏌🏼‍♂️

Day 41 (04 Mar 25) - Easy session w/Pw and 8i - working on flighted down pitches.  Used the tulip tree to simulate working from the rough and having to navigate the “tree(s)”.  Lowest limbs are about 6’ - so low and running is the call.  Good focus on ball positioning and coming smoothly thru the ball.

Day 42 (5 Mar 25) - High winds today as the storm front rolled thru.  Did manage some wedge work with the SW - working with, into, against and across the wind - in the backyard.  Fun exercise in dealing with way leas than optimal conditions.

Day 43 (6 Mar 25) - Worked thru most of the lower part of the bag in the back yard.  Focused on hand positioning for short pitches (gripping down based on the club in use), weight forward and proper acceleration thru the swing (not decelerating).  One of my fave quiet sessions of just me and the club(s).

Day 157 - 2025-03-06

Got the QuadMAX back today. Was going to spend a good 60 minutes practicing, but spent it on the phone as they fixed the front panel, but… the ethernet port wasn't fixed. So that's great. 😛 Got some time in working on some chipping with a student earlier in the day.

I’ve been seriously considering the QuadMAX lately, but it seems like such overkill for individual use. One can dream…

Day 3 - Played around with setup, swinging while standing too close, too far away, and “just right.” Need to film this stuff, since I know feeling too close is where I should be.

Edited a podcast, submitted my PGA award "stuff," and… got some wedge work in. Long day tomorrow so it's going to be tough.

Day 44 (7 Mar 25) - It’s Friday, so it was the weekly round I play with the men’s group.  Solid day scoring wise for me - 42 front/ 41 back for an 83.  Of the 8 pars - 6 were up and downs (yeah buddy, those short game drills are paying off).  Best hole of the day was #13, a pretty straight up par 5.  Third shot was a 90 yarder - I played the INDI 50° to less than 2’ for a kick in birdie.  Its siblings were on as well - it was a short game kind of day.  It was not all good stuff with 3 dbl bogies….missed opportunities hurt the score still a great day to make the most of nGIR (thanks Erik for the teaching on this in Lowest Score Wins).
