Day 305 - 2025-08-01

30 minutes after lessons. Hinging the club up outside my right shoulder, going from there.

 Day 91 (1  Aug 25) - Pre-tournament practice round today…had some great up and downs for par saves.  Rain came in this evening so it will be a totally different playing course tomorrow.

Day 6: lighter session today after a long day. Just some mirror work and slow swings to try to get my feels down.

Day 306 - 2025-08-02

Made some "lift the arms up in front/outside, turn, hit" swings. Got to 91.x with the 6I with the Torc on the shaft by the grip (and the pause costs some MPH). Feeling okay about that. 😄

Day 15: Worked on positioning with the backswing

Day 92 (2 Aug 25) - Day 1 of two-man tournament in the books, we are solidly mid-pack in our flight.  Was a decent day of overall ball striking, putter was good just not great as we had a lot pars that should’ve been birdies in the Capt’s choice format.  Part of the putter woes may have been my ball choice - a much softer distance ball instead of the usual 3-pc - I honestly could not feel the ball come off the face. Lesson learned - stay with the ball your used to.

Day 7: short driving range session with the kids. Worked on slow swings, trying to get the wrist twist right. I think we’re improving slowly on it.

Day 307 - 2025-08-03

Short game work with JL as part of a prep session for HS golf.

Day 93 (3 Aug 25) - last day of the weekend tournament (Texas Scramble format) - partner and I finished 4th overall in our flight.  Has been  great weekend session of course management and then making solid shots…

Day 8: did a stack session. Worked on some slow practice swings during rest breaks.

Day 308 - 2025-08-04

Just about fifteen swings after lessons. Backswing. The downswing is a whole lot easier. Even when it's bad it's pretty good.

Day 94 (4 Aug 25) - Grandson came over today, after a few minutes he asks if we can go play golf.  We head one of the local courses for an easy nine.  I opted to play the most forward tees with him, he’s nine.  I opt to strip down a bag to the TItleist DCI black 1-3-5-7-9 irons and a couple of wedges with a Zebra putter.   Was a fun exercise in making opportunities for birdies and eagles.  Overall it was a great midday adventure, especially with that DCI 16° 1 iron….

Day 9: busy day, so just some time for some slow practice swings, working on my wrist and shaft lean stuff

Day 309 - 2025-08-05

Practiced for 30 minutes before lessons. Some freezers, some smoothies.

Day 10: did a stack session. Did some slow practice swings during rest breaks.

Day 95 (5 Aug 25) - weekly nine hole round - switched up format doing 3 tee rotation (white-gold-red).  Love this format as it presents varied approach distances.

Day 310 - 2025-08-06

Went downtown in the late afternoon and got nearly two hours of work in. Not a ton of breaks. Was blasting the TS at the end, from a HomePod and two TVs. 😄

Starting over - missed posting yesterday and it had been less than 28 days since last off day….today was tempo drill day.  Worked on takeaway and moving smoothly into weight shift.
