Hey guys, I was wondering what peoples opinions are on a couple of drivers. I am searching for a new one and I have narrowed it down to the following:

-Callaway X460 Tour
-Titleist 905R
-Cleveland HiBore XL
-Nike Sumo (circle)
-Nike Sumo (Square)
-Taylor Made r7 SuperQuad

I unfortunately don't have the chance to try the clubs first but I play to a 2 index so I am sure I can adapt. What club would give me the best results according to you guys? I can get them for roughly the same price so I am only concerned about performance at this point.

I can highly recommend the SuperQuad. The stock shaft is not bad,but Ive replaced it with an Aldila NV and absolutely love the results.

At your handicap, why wouldn't you get a driver tailored to your game? I understand when high handicappers think that getting fit doesn't make a difference, but I don't understand a player at your level making that mistake. If you get the wrong shaft, wrong length, wrong loft, etc, the best-performing driver for anyone won't work for you. Why won't you have a chance to try the clubs first?

Driver:  Titleist 915D2.  4-wood:  Titleist 917F2.  Titleist TS2 19 degree hybrid.  Another hybrid in here too.  Irons 5-U, Ping G400.  Wedges negotiable (currently 54 degree Cleveland, 58 degree Titleist) Edel putter.

They are internet purchases and Mother Nature has drizzled cold white stuff all over the ground here in Alberta, Canada.

I think that I might just go with the Titleist as it is a brand that I am use to and have always trusted. I can get one that has only been hit a couple of times for $120 plus shipping. There is no where to get custom fit for clubs where I live, so unfortunately I just have to adapt

I haven't found one yet. I will continue to look but all of my clubs are just at factory default/standard right now. I would love to get fit though, that would be like a dream come true.

I have the r7 superquad and am a big advocate for it. I like the weight system as you can tailor it to your swing. I would also recommend the new hibore XLs, as i swung it at a golfsmith and was very impressed with it. i hated the that last two models of the hibore, but this newer version is really nice. i like the nike as well, and im waiting to see their new sumo. taylor made wont do you wrong at all...

Get a titleist 905R for your handicap, it should be great for you.

Get the Superquad and put a speeder 757 shaft in it. I don't care what driver you have, it is all in the shaft.

I like the superquad r7 in the TP version. I have not hit the driver but I am interested in trying it out. I currently play the r5 TP with a Diamana shaft.

Ebay had the superquad r7 tp as low as $180 with the magnetic head cover, check it out on the driving range.

      This is an awesome breakdown. most of the bigger tournaments usually have one wave with the advantage, Thank you for the breakdown. If it is soft then it will be a lower final score

      Over the past 15 years, the winning score has ranged from -10 to -20. Mostly around -13.  Here is Thursday and Friday weather. Saturday and Sunday weather. I think the course will play soft. Plenty of sky cover, lots of rain on Thursday. Fairways and greens will probably stay soft throughout the week.  In terms of tee times, I think Thursday morning and Friday afternoon have the biggest advantage.       Things that I am or have worked on... 1.    Trail Elbow - Check 2.    Hip Turn - Check 3.    Rolled Inside - Check 4.    Wide Takeaway - Check 5.    Sway and Tilt - Nope, but I did a hip turn and tilt 🤣 I am giving myself 4.5/5 for my long backswing.  Great post!

      We have a very difficult but mostly showy course this week. Lets see what they got. This course offers so many chances to get into trouble it is really a mental minefield. I am excited to see who can handle it and who cant. Last year we got a foreshadowing of JJ and Rory, I am excited for this year Who do people have winning? what will the winning score be? I am thinking 12 or 13 under
