See if the chrome softs are on sale.  I suspect this for two reasons.  First, I think they just released a new version of the chrome soft.  Second, my fiance's mom got me a dozen a little while back, I don't think someone who doesn't know about golf would just shell out for premium golf balls.  That's how I once got 3 dozen top-flites!

Just checked the Dick's website and they're on sale as 'prior-generation'

As I understand it, Canadian prices can be a lot more expensive that US prices. You may just want o go on line to a Canadian web site and see what the best deal is.

As suggested, for a Senior, generally a soft ball is a good choice. A 2 piece is cheaper and a 3 piece is more expensive and premium balls with urethane are even more expensive. In my opinion, Gamersoft, Wilson Spin, are good 3 piece choices at a fair price. Top Flight D2 feel might be a nice two piece choice,

    • Well, I have a 2 hybrid, 4 hybrid and then play 6 iron onwards.  My best clubs are probably the 4 hybrid and the PW.  What I find is that loft is your friend in general which is why my 4 hybrid is so much better than my 2 hybrid.  Definitely disproportionately more so than the 5 or so degrees of difference in loft.  If you have hybrids, play them.  And consider loft as your friend.  Invariably you will get up to a loft where anything less will not get you more distance because of your club head speed.  Essentially the faster you swing the less lofted a club you can hit effectively.  For me it is probably a 4 hybrid and maybe a 7 iron though I could improve both with practice
    • Off to my home state of Massachusetts this morning. 9 this afternoon,  18 tomorrow,  and 18 on Saturday. Hoping for some good scores but will be just happy playing with good friends.
