The one thing I know is that sometimes we over think our putts. Line the sucker up take a guess on how fast it is and hit it. Putting can be the most aggravating part of golf, like when your ball is  within 1 or 2 inches from the hole on you first putt. You start wondering is one of these going to go in! :pound:

I read the article on "not accelerating" on putts and it has helped me. I have figured out over the past couple of rounds that my weakness is a lag putt that has some break to it. What I mean, I usually don't end up playing enough break and the putts end up further from the hole (not because of the speed) because I didn't play it high enough or low enough. I have also figured out that part of my issue is that the speed and the amount of break change depending on what course I'm playing at my club. I have found it much easier when I go to other courses because the amount of break and the speed of the greens if much less than at my home club. I actually putt better on courses I don't play as often. On fast, big greens with a lot of undulation I have trouble with the +20 footers (which I tend to get more of). The greens are bigger so if I don't hit a good shot I'm still on the green but have a 30-40 footer that breaks two different ways. I'm going to concentrate on practicing my 5-10 footers more to hopefully solve my problem.
