New member and Beginner golfer looking for some help! I recently changed my swing by bowing my wrist from a early position and I can finally swing slightly more consistent contact but it’s still hard for me to be accurate. Any input would be great. Thanks!

My current handicap index or average score is: N/A
My typical ball flight is: slice 
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: fat and thin shots

I'd work on your setup. Notice how much your arms hang "outward" at setup, and where your head is at setup versus where it is at impact. Bent over a bit more, more vertical arms, more angle between your arms and the shaft.

Then I'd work on the actual dynamic part of your swing:

One little problem is hitting off a mat that is raised from the surface you are standing on.     I like to wear golf shoes when practicing and stand on the same level as the ball so I don't ingrain the habit of addressing and hitting an abnormally high ball.   

In general, Kashkash, you look stiff in an artificially athletic posture.   Many folks position themselves like a golfing model in a clothing ad, which may look powerful and athletic but isn't.    Power comes from relaxation, balance, and nearness to the body axis.    Let the arms hang down by their own weight, and the butt of the club come closer to your belt buckle.   (Think "gorilla arms" when you address the ball in the sense of hanging down, not in the sense of muscle.    Just relax.)     

Your legs and hips are active, which introduces more variables into the swing than a backswing that is more shoulders.   Modern doctrine is to rotate the shoulders 45 degrees or over more than the hips, and to generate power from the difference.   (For those of us far older than you are, there is a question of whether using the legs and hips more in the swing is easier on the back than a full 90 degree shoulder turn on hips that are angled 30-45 degrees -- but you are not nearly there yet.)

At the top, it looked like your clubface was a little more open than 45 degrees, and maybe it was open at ball contact.   Which would indicate something to be fixed in the backswing.   

All in all, you have a foundation to build on.   Listen to IACAS.

    • I know you guys were discussing this like a year ago. But, ironically I just had this discussion with my brother-in-law. We literally just did one of these. I'd always used the "Slow-Cook, Rest, and Sear" Method. But my bother-in-law was convinced the "5-Min/lb, 500 degree" method was the way. So, we gave it a go. I have to say it came out great.  I have a 25 year old, electric oven, GE brand... Not sure if that matters, but it came out great. ... Of course we stressed that nobody was to open the oven.   I don't make these all that often so, I'm not sure if I can fully recommend one method or the other, because without doing a Pepsi Challenge, I'd say both ways come out great. 👍😁👍
