I wear glasses to correct distance vision. I can no longer focus sharply on the ball at address. Any help with glasses (sunglasses) that correct for distance on top but have no Rx on bottom?Currently must look below my glasses at address.

A buddy of mine wears what you are talking about. It's basically a pair of bifocals. His gets darker in the sunlight.

You can probably take your current glasses to any eye place, like Lens Crafters and get what you want made.

Thanks Patch, yes plan on trying that. An old thread on this site indicated that this setup was hard to find, but I'll see.

you should be able to get your glasses designed at a plow where you get your glasses. Mine were made reverse: clear glass on top and reading on bottom.  As far as sunglasses, I use a brand called Cocoons. I got mine from by optometrist.  They fit snuggly one your other glasses.  Various degrees of darkness are available.  Prior to cataract surgery I wore bifocals and these served me well and kept down the cost of making new sunglasses after any change.

I'm sure you can get a bi-focal with no or maybe a very slight vision adjustment on the lower portion.  You may actually see the ball at address better with a prescription for just that distance  on the bottom.

I only use single focal lens because I'm near-sighted.  I have transition lenses that get darker outside and lighten inside.  Makes life a lot easier than having multiple glasses.

That said, I'm having cataract surgery in a couple weeks so hopefully my glasses days are over, except for close detail work, and... off the rack sunglasses.

I’ve been wearing progressives for some time. Maybe you can get those done in reverse. That way you don’t have the abrupt line of transition.
