Hi all! New to this site and wanted to get opinions from you all.  Recently got back in to golf when my step daughter came home wanting to play for school.  We are going to her first tournament next week and the parents can watch and rent carts but are to stay about 20 yards back.  I would like to record it and have been looking at the GoPro hero 5 and 6.  Curious what everyone else uses and what is the best setup as well as on how to attach to golf cart and still have good video.  I'll obv be stopped when she is to swing but would like to record the whole thing.

Thanks in advance for any feedback you all can offer!

Why not just use an iPhone or whatever?

GoPro is often a very wide field of view.

Yes, definitely smartphone.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Yes, GoPro field of view is about 170*, even if you can zoom (some do) the quality would be poor. Even 20 yards back it would look like they are 100 yards away. As shown, a portable flexible tripod wrapped around the a pillar of the cart with an iPhone mount should be fine. And use Landscape mode please... In vertical mode you are giving away the available quality and resolution that the camera was designed for. You can even buy a small key fob bluetooth device to work the camera so you don't have to keep hitting the button on the phone and possibly move it out of position.
