Do you guys prefer wedge shafts like the wedge specific shafts(not wedge flex we get in off the shelf’s) or do you guys like the 8i method in your wedges.

I have wedge flex modus 105 in my wedges.  They match my iron set shafts.  Do I like them?  Yes...Do they make a difference?  I don't really think so.

Next time around I'd like to do the 8 iron thing to keep the ball flight down meanwhile keeping my iron shaft weight like the wedge flex shafts did.

I’m thinking I’m gonna do the 8 iron idea. However I did just come across an idea called “tiger stepping”. That seems interesting.

I use the same shafts in my wedges as I do in my irons.  The sand wedge shaft is tip-trimmed slightly more to compensate for the extra head weight.

In der bag:
Cleveland Hi-Bore driver, Maltby 5 wood, Maltby hybrid, Maltby irons and wedges (23 to 50) Vokey 59/07, Cleveland Niblick (LH-42), and a Maltby mallet putter.                                                                                                                                                 "When the going gets tough...it's tough to get going."
