Hey there. I am looking at getting the Callaway X20 Irons and just had a couple questions for anyone that might have the answers. First was is there a big difference between the new groove and old groove style? Second was I have looked on some online sites as well as EBAY and have seen two different variations of the clubs. I saw some sets with the blue X on the club and other sets with the black X. Does anyone know if one or the other is a fake or is this how Callaway does it, different sets different colors? Might be a dumb question but don't want to be screwed over by someone selling them on ebay.

It costs $370 for the 4-SW, steel shaft. I need to call them because I ordered them last night and now they are free shipping.

Thanks

I have a set with a blue x. There was also a “tour” version. Perhaps those had a black x? I don’t know, but you could probably dig a bit and find out.

Cant really tell you much about the grooves. I don’t know a ton about all that.

I just ran out to the garage to take a look at mine. The X is such a dark blue, I had to put them in the sun to make sure they weren't black. Good luck on your purchase.

I got fitted for both the X20 (blue) and X20 Tour (black) irons in 2009.

I played the X20s for two seasons, and then switched to the X20 Tours. I had a lot of trouble with range dispersion with the X20s, and they tended to hang up in the rough. The stock shaft was the Uniflex; I liked it OK, but not everyone does.

The X20 Tours have better feel, and tighter range dispersion, and move through turf more cleanly. I did replace the PX 5.0 shafts... just a bit hard to handle. The X20 Tours have slightly higher lofts.

Focus, connect and follow through!
