I was perusing through The Digest and in one of the equip articles they had a persimmon driver from Louisville .

They look awesome! and sound incredible

I was just wondering if anybody owns one? or has ever hit one and can shed some light on how they perform and what not.

They do look nice, but I can't imagine going back to those small heads. The Louis3 putter looked pretty cool though.

I don't own one, though I still have my MacGregor/Jack Nicklaus persimmon driver from, oh, 1988 or so. And its replacement: the Titleist PT, which didn't have a larger head.

I've seen it, but haven't gotten to try it. I'd love to though. I still will carry a persimmon 4-wood on the course with me. I haven't found a 2-iron or utility wood I can hit better than that.
